 Codesmith’s existing logo (below, left) was not serving their brand in it’s current state. It felt one-dimensional and reminiscent of a stop sign; something you don’t want in an industry where agility and momentum is everything.

The software development agency, Codesmith Development, needed a visual rebranding that more succinctly represented their brand positioning as well as their evolving service lines.

My Role: Lead VisID Designer and UX/UI Lead

 In order to tackle this visual rebrand, I began the process by creating a set of three unique mood boards that had samplings of color palettes, typography, iconography, supporting design elements like patterns and shapes, as well as examples of logo

In order to tackle this visual rebrand, I began the process by creating a set of three unique mood boards that had samplings of color palettes, typography, iconography, supporting design elements like patterns and shapes, as well as examples of logos I felt matched well with each particular board.

 Once the stakeholders aligned on a moodboard, I began sketching shapes and playing with letterforms until I had three solid directions to present.

 After some minor tweaking to the type treatment, option two was picked and I was given the green light to start the UX/UI elements for their marketing site.  (more screenshots to come)
